Old English Game Cock - Digital Drawing

The oldest strain of the world’s purpose bred fighting birds. The fighting cocks’ aggressive mode of combat
was admired by the Romans and were used to incite the troops before they went into battle.
They were later bred by the English nobility to have distinctive colouring as a recognition factor
for their own fighting birds. Cockfighting was outlawed in England in 1849
